Used Yamato Multihead Weighers for Sale 7

Yamato is the weighing-house pedigree in the multihead trio: where rivals came from packaging, Yamato came from scales, building load cells and weighing electronics as core technology for a century, and the Dataweigh machines carry that inheritance in measurement stability that operators notice over years of drift-free service. On the used market the brand frequently represents the value entry into quality multihead weighing, with Sigma-class machines trading below equivalent Ishida units while Omega-class high-speed weighers compete head-on at the performance end.

Series selection maps to duty: ADW Sigma machines cover standard snack, confectionery, and dry-goods weighing economically, Omega series machines add speed, head counts to 20-plus, and tighter statistical performance for demanding lines, and waterproof IP-rated executions serve fresh, frozen, and washdown environments, with protection rating a specification to verify rather than assume on used units. Yamato checkweighers often accompany the weighers in used lots, and matched sets from one line simplify integration. The practical brand comparison with Ishida usually resolves to local service coverage and price, with both delivering the accuracy that matters.

Buying a used Yamato multihead weighers: what to check

Weighing verification first: test every head with certified masses, examine calibration and service records, and run the machine through combination cycles watching rejection rates and giveaway statistics if product testing is possible. Load cell condition dominates value, and Yamato cells' reputation makes documented originals preferable to mixed replacements.

Cycle all hoppers and feeders, checking radial feeder vibration consistency, inspect contact surfaces for your product compatibility, and verify the claimed IP rating's reality, with seal condition and cable gland integrity on washdown machines. Confirm control presets transfer, test bagger discharge signalling, and check the mounting frame matches your platform. Ask for the machine's product and cleaning history.
