Rommelag 3012 Blow-Fill-Seal machine has been upgraded from a 3 cavity to a 6 cavity machine for 100ml containers with an increased output of 1500 per hour. The machine has been fully refurbished so is in a "like new" condition. The following refurbishment work has been carried out on the machine: original mild steel panels replaced with new stainless steel panels new control panel fitted with Siemens S7 PLC and new touch screen display HMI all new electrical wiring all hydraulic valves changed and replaced with new Rextroth valves of the latest generation all pneumatic valves changed and replaced with new Festo pneumatic valves new set of moulds and filling head fitted; CIP/SIP system incorporated all old pipelines and valves replaced with new ones. BFS/FFS technology offers the huge benefit of enabling the entire process, which includes manufacturing a container, filling it with the product and then sealing it, to be completed in one short cycle using only one machine. Firstly, the sterile pyrogen-free bottles or ampoules are blow moulded from extruded PE or PP in water-cooled moulds. Immediately afterwards, the containers are filled with the sterile product in aseptic conditions and then hermetically sealed.
