The CNC milling center KIMLA HSM BFN 1015 Linear was built in Poland in 2017. The machine has a T-slot table with a groove spacing of 25 mm. The CNC milling machine is equipped with a HSD 12kW ISO30 spindle, which rotates at a speed of up to 24,000 rpm. The range of X and Y axis movements is 1000 mm and 1500 mm, respectively, and the Z axis is 300 mm. The CNC milling center has a rich instrumentation, which includes a tool correction sensor, a rotating tool magazine and a cabin protecting the operator. In addition, the machine has a wired, touch-sensitive scanning head that allows for homing and 2D and 3D scanning. The CNC milling center is designed for machining machinable materials with engraving mills, arbor mills or drills. It has a working area of 1000x1500x300 mm, enabling the production of dies, injection molds, steel and aluminum dies, as well as processing of casting models. Instead of standard ball screws, usually used in CNC machines, KIMLA used linear drives, the elements of which do not wear out, and therefore do not cause loss of cutting quality during operation. In addition, linear drives only transfer the force using a magnetic field, i.e. without friction. The Kimla machining center uses measuring systems with a resolution of 1 nm and a precision of 5 micrometers per meter, which is a very modern and extremely expensive solution. The KIMLA CNC milling machine is ideal for precision tasks where extremely high positioning accuracy is required. In addition, the Kimla center has an automatic tool change with a magazine, and the machine body has a gate structure with a traveling table.
