Machine is set up for grinding transmission
shafts, each with 3 grinding seats, ground on both sides, with a diameter
range of approx. 60 80 mm. Grinding process is as follows:
The pre-turned parts are placed in prisms on a rotary conveyor belt. The portal loading device grips the workpiece and brings it into the working area. The finished workpiece is measured on the way back and if satisfactory it is placed on the rotary conveyor.
When the workpiece is between centres, a extra wide grinding wheel grinds one side of workpiece. Then the other side of the workpiece is ground (different parameter) by turning the complete grinding slide (B Axis) 180°, so that the other grinding spindle with
a different profile is in operation. The grinding process is supervised by a MARPOSS Diameter Control and a workpiece positioning control.
Machine is equipped with a KARSTENS CNC Control with monitor; separate dressing device, built on the table; cool oil centrifuge; complete covers for the working area; various grinding wheel flanges, etc. (measuring station for a specific workpiece is not available).
Condition: Good to very good. Machine can soon be inspected under power.
