Coating- and/or Printing machine, Rewind-Slitter
DEMONSTRATION MACHINE Module-built, consisting of the following modules:
- Shaftlesss unwinding
- Moisturizing unit
- Coating- and/or Flexo-printing unit, exchangeable
- Drying station with 2 steam-exchangers, extendable
- Cooling cylinder
- Longitudinal slitter, combined crush-/scissor cut
- Rewind with integrated shaft handling
- the machine can be easily extended to more modules, like laminating etc.

Shaftless unwinding:
controlled fully pneumatically, 70-76 mm core inside diameter lateral reel shifting, manually pneumatically reel lifting device usable by lowering of supporting arms one-sided adjustable roller to stretch slack web edge Dancing guide roller Brake, water-cooled, 4 kW web tension control by dancer-roll device.
Moisturizing unit:
Lay-on roller, pneum. actuated moisturing roller, screened with scraper Drive of moisturing roller by separate drive with infinitely variable gear.
Coating Station: - completely exchangeable - Now installed, 4-roller unit, usable for, wax coating, heatable, Flexo-printing,
a) - coating thickness controled by rubber covered metering-roller or b) – (not included) indirect gravure printing with screen-roller and oszillating scraper OR OTHER coating heads possible, not included in offer!
Drying section: - extendable -
very high efficiency, as heat is supplied also from underneath the web, drying efficency up to 40-50kg/hm2 with temperatures of only 120-130oC, depending on formula and material to be processed.

Cooling by water
for wax coating, very efficient by double-walled rollers, drying hoods can be used for dust extraction Cooling unit not encluded
Longitudinal slitter:
4-roller-system, well proved, pneumatiquely balanced simultaneously usable as reel lay-on device stretcher roller, built-in, crush cutting device for manually operated knife holders and hardened bottom knife roller; free shear-cut for pneum. operated top knives and easily adjustable bottom-knives
Rewind unit:
with integrated shaft handling, shaft is extracted sideways from roll core, inside diameter 70 mm reel lifting by separate manually operated hydraulic car, not included.
The shaft support system can be changed at minimal costs to Flap-Bearings.
Electrical Drives:
3 x 440 V; 50 Hz

web tension at rewind adjustable by manually adjusted potentiometer
1 D.C. main- and 1 D.C. winding motor
max. torque at the rewind shaft is 36,8 kpm now, and can be increased by change of transmission ratio.
The machine was used for some experiments and some short production runs. Coating of carbonless and carbon paper, computer nylon ribbons and printing of computer-listing paper has been performed which shows already the great usability of this fine equipment.
Carbonless paper has been produced with speeds of 160 to 200 m/min. This can be increased by using higher solid content in the coating and/or prolonged dryer or higher drying temperature. Also exchangeable Air-knife coating system can be used with the machine, but is not recommended.
