Condition of the Board Machine:
The board machine is overall in good condition and was in operation till September
2001. There have been many rebuilds in the meantime, so
there are only very few parts remaining from the original version.

Main components of Stock preparation:

The stock preparation consists of 3 ½ stock lines with total 5 pulpers

Stock Line for Top-layer (line B):
Installed 1989-91
- 1 conveyer belt with weighing system
- 1 high consistency pulper "Lamort" with 12 m3
- 1 "Lamort" after-pulper screen for heavy rejects
- 1 2-stage screen (system "Hett")
- 1 chest for stock and white water
- 1 transmitter for measuring consistency, flow meters
- 1 control panel
- 1 "Krima-Cellwood" dispersing unit 75 (hot and with pressure)
- 1 refiner ("Sunds" conflow)

The pulper-system is designed to dissolve also wet strength papers. For normal paper the capacity is about 100 to/day.
The dispersing unit has a capacity of about 75 to/day (depending of the kind of stock and demands of refining).

Auxiliary Stock Line (line B):
Installed 1990-96
- 1 conveyer belt
- 1 high consistency pulper "Lamort" with 25 m3
-1 "Lamort" after-pulper screen for heavy rejects
- 1 2-stage screens (system "Hett"), with high density cleaner for some of the stock
- 1 Chest for stock and white water
- 1 transmitter for measuring consistency, flow meters
- 1 control panel

To this line belongs a "Sunds" middle-consistence screening system, which can
clean some of the stock.
This pulper-system is designed to dissolve also wet strength papers. For
normal paper the capacity is about 200 to/day.

Stock Line No. 2 (for part of the middle layer):
- 2 low consistency pulpers
- 1 "Lamort" after pulper-screen
- 1 "Hett" screen system
- 1 set of "Fink" high density cleaners
- 1 slow turning dispersing unit ("Maule")
- 1 set of refiners ("Black Clawson)
- 1 transmittes for measuring consistency
- 1 control panel

This system has a capacity of almost 100 to/day.

Stock Line No. 3 (for under layer):
- 1 low consistency pulper
- 1 "Lamort" after pulper screen
- 1 set of "Fink" high density cleaners
- 1 slow turning dispersing unit ("Maule")
- 1 refiner ("Black Clawson")
- 1 transmitter for measuring consistency
- 1 control panel

This system has a capacity of almost 60 to/day

Krima-Cellwood dispersing unit 200:
Installed 1989-91
This equipment was not working for the past years (lack of steam: old boiler too small)
- capacity 200 to/day (some additional equipment required. We needed only 100 to/day)
- 1 integrated high-consistency refiner
- 3 pre thickener (in the shop)

This system can be made working with some general repairs and adjustments.

Main components of the Board Machine:
- 1 two stage cleaning system for the middle layer
- 1 two stage cleaning system for the under layer
- 3 vibrating screens for cover under liner and middle layer
- 9 formers ( 5 "Black Clawson" and 4 "Dörries-Voith", every former has it’s own screen
- 1 extractor press
- 1 suction and couch press
- 1 high load press with diameter 1800/1800 mm (double felted)
- high load press with diameter 1600/1800 mm (top roll is a plain roll to
give smoothness), can be operated with one or two felts
- 1st measuring and control frame (moisture/ weight)
- 1 pulper for wet broke
- 1 pre-drying section with 39 cylinders (max 4 bars)
- 2nd measuring and control frame (total moisture and surface moisture)
- 1 M.G. cylinder with diameter 5000 mm
- 1 after-drying section with 19 cylinders (max 4 bars)
- 1 pulper for dry broke incl. conveyor
- 3rd measuring and control frame (moisture / weight / smoothness)
- 1 on-line coating part consists of :
5 coating stations w. gas-fired drying, drying cylinders, drying hood (except Coater E)
Coater A) for the back side (rod coating)
Coater B) for the Top side : barflex coating
Coater C) for the Top Side : combi-blade coating(blade or bar)
Coater D) for the Top Side : air knife coating
Coater E) for the back side . rod coating
- 1 additional electrical drying systems for edge drying (profile) and the entire sheet
- 1 heated machine calander for the back side
- 1 machine calander (steel/steel) for profiling
- 1 brush glazing system
- 1 heated calander for the top side
- 4 cooling cylinders
- 4th measuring and control frame (moisture/ weight / thickness / smoothness)
- 1 pope reeler

Stand-By-Equipment:

- 1 3-stage disc filter "Hedemora" (installed 1990) to filter recycled water for the shower pipes
- 1 Coating Kitchen "Cellier" with tanks and several silos (not all used of them)
- 1 lubrication system for the drying cylinders
- 1 system for generation of compressed air
- 1 vacuum system for the board machine
- 1 new boiler system with water preparation for burning heavy oil (including catalyst).

This installation is not finished. The capacity is 24 to/h (13 bar). This would be enough for a production of about 300 to board / day !

New equipment (on stock):

3 complete 3-stage low consistency units ("Albia) consist of (each):
8 500 T DLR (1st stage)
3 500 T (2nd stage)
1 500 T WRFC (3rd stage)
1 500 T DLR (DLR stage)
1 vacuum tank
Each unit has a capacity of about 50 to/day (consistency < 1 %)

1 complete 4-stage low consistency unit ("Albia") consits of :
22 1000 T DLR (1. stage)
6 1000 T (2. stage)
2 1000 T (3. stage)
1 1000 T WFRC (4. stage)
1 1000 T DLR (DLR stage)
1 vacuum tank
The unit has a capacity of about 192 to/day (consistency < 1%)

2 Cyrocleans model GYT 5 "Lamort" (to remove stickies)

2 Cyrocleans model GYS 1 "Lamort" (to remove stickies)

1 Cyroclean model GYS 2 "Lamort" (to remove stickies)

- 1 complete shop for maintenance
- Large stock of spare parts

- 1 steam-drum system to dissolve wet strength paper (system is not finished)

Technical Documentation: Included

Condition: Shut since 2002. Well corrosion protected. Still installed.
Modifications: The following main rebuilds were done in the last 20 years:

- 1982: rebuild of the wet section (installation of 4 "Dörries-Voith" formers)

- 1986-88: 3 rebuilds
renewal of the press part (installation of 2 high-load presses with large diameter and cambering)
- rebuild and completion of the drying section (new hood, new condensate system, addition of drying cylinders)
- rebuild and completion of the coating section (new hoods, "Jagenberg" coater, new gas-fired drying etc.)

- installation of two pulpers for reject

- 1992: installation of a new process-control-system (Lippke-Honeywell) with 4
traversing frames and controlled by computer

- 1993-97: divers modifications for drying (electric profiling, total profiling)

- 1998: rebuild of the whole wet section (completion with 5 "Black-Clawson" BRISTOL formers, total renovation of process and control system)

- 2001: Installation of equipment for back side smoothness
