THE PRESS WAS Totally RE-Built in 2002 with (circa) $2 Million USD invested in the rebuild.
NEW ADD-Ons included the latest engineering and electronic upgrades in 2002. Our engineers can re-installation this machine if required worldwide. Once again this machine did have a total-rebuild in 2002: Speed 34,200 IPH or 1178 FPM, DC Drive – PLC Controls, HP 150. The machine has Sheeter with 24.7/16" cut-off size. Maximum Print Area. 24 - 7/16” x 37 - 1/2” inches, printing both sides of paper at same time. Sheeter cut-off accuracy +/-002. Sheets are piled automatically on a raised/lowering hydraulic air operated fork with interrupt, speed – 1400 FPM. Ink train set-up (3 forms, 4 vibrators, 4 rubber distributors, 1 ductor in both upper and lower units). Chill unit is attached to Water set-up, (1 form, 1 vibrator, - Baldwin spray units in both upper and lower units). Ink system set-up. Ink is pumped from ink totes via pumps to each unit, upper and lower. A Graphic Microsystem, color system, accomplishes color match – utilizing servo motors to set ink fountain blades and ink fountain rollers through a PC. Registration is obtained and maintained thought an automatic Quad-Tech system, which automatically maintains the set color match. The color control system is a Graphics Microsystems - 2001 - S/N 10V011402917. Splicer has max speed of 1200 FPM without interruption. Butler Roll stand and splicer units control infeed/web guide unit 1, unit 2, unit 3 and 4. Dual-Zone drying ovens. Registration system is attached to Silicone unit – Sheeter - Console.
It uses air-operated extrusion, dbl acting pump, max pressure 3250, or 12.2 gallons per minute. Fountain solution refrigerated recirculation - Baldwin system with recycling system.
